  1. (UK politics, Internet, historical) The person in charge of the Office of the e-Envoy, which existed from 1999 to 2004 with the purpose of putting all government departments online.
    • 2004, Stephen Battersby, W. H. Bassett, Clay's Handbook of Environmental Health, page 187:
      Recommendation 14.2 of this report stated 'the Government should appoint an “e-envoy” with a wider remit than originally proposed.
