1. (intransitive) to kill time
   • 1990, Isabel Clara Simó, Els ulls de Clídice, page 63:

     Vaig fer temps encenent una cigarreta i mirant el fum enfilar-se, com una teranyina, al meu davant.

     I killed time by lighting a cigarette and watching the smoke unfurl, like a spiderweb, in front of me.
