Egyptian edit

Etymology edit

m (imperative of jmj (to not do)) +‎ dyt (probably the infinitive of rḏj (to give)). The second element takes a written form that differs considerably from the ordinary forms of the infinitive of rḏj but despite this is probably best considered the infinitive.
