  1. (philosophy) according to the philosophy of Justus Buchler, the process of the development of a person's experience by the interaction of behaviour and the environment.[1]
  2. (biology) Sexual behaviour that leads to conception.[2] The term “proceptivity” was introduced into general sexological use by Frank A. Beach in 1976[3]
