Etymology

si- (modal) + -∅- (3rd person subject prefix) + -∅- (classifier)-téézh (neuter perfective stem of root -TÉÉZH, “to lie — 2 actors”).

Verb

edit

shitéézh

  1. they (a pair of animate subjects) are lying somewhere, are reclining

Usage notes

edit

This verb refers to a single pair. For multiple pairs, use the verb naazhtéézh.

The stem used for subjects in pairs is different from the stem used for subjects acting individually or in groups. For separate subjects, see sitį́; for a group of three or more subjects, see shijééʼ.

This is a neuter verb that uses only the perfective mode.
