- (folksy) scythe stone holder (an oblong case made of wood, sheet metal, horn or leather, partially filled with water to keep the stone wet in order to provide lubrication when honing the cutting edge; usually attached to the belt)
- (mechanical engineering) chuck (a mechanical device that holds an object or tool firmly in place)
