Etymology
editFrom to- + n- (“Class A 1st-person plural infixed object pronoun”) + com- + reithid.
Verb
editton·comrit (verbal noun tochomracht)
Usage notes
editThis verb is a hapax legomenon that is attested only once in the Würzburg Glosses as a single-word gloss from its prima manus whose final letter(s) are very poorly legible. Plummer reads ton·comrit, while Stokes in Thesaurus Palaeohibernicus reads ton·comra, the latter interpretation generally taken to be the subjunctive of this verb.
