From χαζο- (chazo-, stupid, idiotic) +‎ -μάρα (-mára, feminine prefix)[1] or from χαζ(ός) (chaz(ós)) + -ομάρα (-omára) & -αμάρα (-amára) for the variant χαζαμάρα (chazamára).[2]
