From χαζο- (chazo-, “stupid, idiotic”) +‎ -μάρα (-mára, feminine prefix)^[1] or from χαζ(ός) (chaz(ós)) + -ομάρα (-omára) & -αμάρα (-amára) for the variant χαζαμάρα (chazamára).^[2]
