Mongolian edit

Etymology edit

Attested once in a 1338 Middle Mongol document as ᠵᠣᠭᠰᠤᠭᠤᠯᠪᠠᠰᠤ (ǰoɣsuɣulbasu, (if he) let (them) stop), but otherwise restricted to modern Central Mongolic.

Cognate with Buryat зогсохо (zogsoxo), Kalmyk зогсх (zogsx).
