Probably an expressive variant with initial x- of standard рипам (ripam) < *rypati, possibly affected by Proto-Slavic *xrępati (to clap, to thump) whence dial. Russian хря́пать (xrjápatʹ) (expected would be Bulgarian **хрепам (**hrepam)).
