ապաշխարեմ

Old Armenian edit

Etymology edit

From Parthian. Compare Manichaean Parthian ʾbxšʾh- (*abaxšāh-, to have pity), Manichaean Middle Persian ʾbxšʾy- (*abaxšāy-, to forgive, to have pity on), Middle Persian ʾp̄hšʾdytn' (*abaxšāyīdan, to forgive, have mercy on), Persian بخشودن (baxšudan, to forgive).
