An Iranian borrowing: compare Khotanese mäṣṣa- (field)[1][2][3] and Central Kurdish مووچە(mûçe, field). Also from Iranian: Old Georgian მუშაკი (mušaḳi), Georgian მუშა (muša, laborer), Bats მუშაჸო̆ (mušaʾŏ, laborer), Laz მუშა (muša, porter).
