Etymology edit

Inherited from Prakrit 𑀲𑁄𑀳𑀡 (sohaṇa), from Sanskrit शोभन (śobhana). Cognate with Pahari-Potwari [script needed] (su(h)ṇā) and Saraiki سوݨھا (soṇhā).
