From Akkadian 𒍣𒄿𒄣 (/⁠zîqu, zīqīqu⁠/, breeze, blast of air; storm, wind; ghost), where also 𒄑𒍣𒋡 (/⁠zâqu⁠/, to blow). Also Jewish Palestinian Aramaic, Jewish Literary Aramaic, Jewish Babylonian Aramaic זִיקָא (zīqā).
