Etymology edit

From Proto-Indo-European *kyew- (to set in motion). Cognate with Old Armenian չու (čʻu, journey, road) and չուեմ (čʻuem, to set out), whence Armenian չվել (čʻvel, to migrate (of birds, a group)), Northern Kurdish çûn (to go), Classical Persian شدن (šudan, to go), and Ancient Greek σεύω (seúō, put in quick motion, drive).
