editInherited from Sanskrit छत्त्वर (chattvará). Cognate with Punjabi ਛਪੱਰ (chaparra), Nepali छाप्रो (chāpro), Bengali ছাপর (chapor), Odia ଛପର (chapara), Bihari छप्पर and Gujarati છાપરું (chāprũ). Doublet of छत्तर (chattar).
