From the root ゆた (yuta), whence (ゆた) (yutaka). Compare (ほそ) (hosoi) and ほっそり (hossori); (あさ) (asai) and あっさり (assari); (さわ)やか (sawayaka)(historically さはやか (safayaka)) and さっぱり (sappari); ()びる (nobiru), ()() (nobinobi), ()びやか (nobiyaka), and のんびり (nonbiri).
