- A brown to blackish-brown pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to regulate menstruation, nourish blood, restore the normal flow of qi and relieve pain in the treatment of menstrual disorders or dysmenorrhea with distending pain in the lower abdomen and aching in the loins and legs due to deficiency of yin-blood, stagnation of qi and blood stasis".
