Usage notes edit
Although Alkitab and Bibel are synonymous, the usages are different. Most Christian denominations prefer to refer the Christian Bible as Alkitab. Bibel may be have a negative implication in Christian denominations as Bibel is used to discredit it while Alkitab is reserved for Qur'an.
