Capalbio
Italian edit
Etymology edit
Likely from Capo d'Alveo (literally “head of riverbed”), from the name of a medieval castle built near a river. Other theories derive it from Latin Caput Album (literally “white head”) or Campus Albus (literally “white field”), due to the presence of white alabaster in the area.
