Reconstruction:Proto-Uralic/kojera
Proto-Uralic
editReconstruction
editNo direct evidence for the 2nd syllable is found, and UEW considers a consonant-stem reconstruction *kojra to be also possible. *o in Samoyedic however suggests derivation from an unsyncopated form (Zhivlov 2014): the expected regular outcome of *kojra would be **kårå or **kåjrå.
Etymology
editFrom *koje (“man, male”) + *-ra.
Noun
edit*kojera
