German edit
Etymology edit
Pronunciation edit

Audio (file) - Rhymes: -iː
Noun edit
Remis n (strong or mixed, genitive Remis, plural Remis or Remisen)
Usage notes edit
- The normal plural is Remis, pronounced differently from the singular (as above). The plural Remisen is restricted to chess; it is also the plural of Remise.
- Outside of chess contexts, Remis is not in common use among the general population. It is, however, fairly frequent in media jargon, especially to avoid repetition of Unentschieden.
