(Notifying Stephen G. Brown, Wyang, Octahedron80): : Hi. Out of three readings in Sealang, which one do you think is valid? All three? I think the one with [Headley77] looks more trustworthy. I must be the only one fixing Khmer pronunciations in entries :) --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 02:49, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Atitarev The original Headley 77 and Modern Khmer-English Dictionary (2015) entries can be seen here. I think the two readings from Headley 77 are reliable; Khmer ប can often be read as both voiced and voiceless and this is an example of that. Compare the Thai variation บรเทศ (bɔɔ-rá-têet) ~ ประเทศ (bprà-têet) for this word. Headley 97 basically agrees with Headley 77, except for /paʔraʔteih/, which I think may be a typo. Compare បរទេសី (bɑɑteisəy): /paʔreaʔteisəy/ in Headley 97. :) Wyang (talk) 08:25, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Wyang: Thanks, I saw the small difference you highlighted. That's what my question was about. :) --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 09:11, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
