If this does exist surely it isn't an abbreviation of "Joseph". DTLHS (talk) 02:41, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I remember once seeing a magazine photo of a group of twentysomething lads -- a band or sometjing -- and they were identified by name. One of them was named Joie. I thought, "Oh cool, his parents named him after the French word for joy! What an awesome sound -- /ʒwɑ/!" Then a little later I reakuzed it could be an alternative spelling of Joey. So I really don't know. But I have seen this name before. Khemehekis (talk) 03:44, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
I have added three cites that use it as a male Given name, and one of them clearly uses it as a diminutive of Joseph. I don't know what else I can do here. While looking, I found a lot more quotes that use it as a female given name, presumably a version of Joy. Kiwima (talk) 04:02, 4 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Joie Manda is a US record executive; his Twitter account name is Joeyie, suggesting a link with Joseph. Equinox 14:25, 5 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Presumably it's derived from Jo +‎ -ie. - -sche (discuss) 01:32, 10 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
