• Clarify and keep. The term uniformly refers to microorganisms that are resistant to antibiotics, not to people who are resistant to the use of antibiotics. This is probably a term that would be useful for a phrasebook in case of an emergency. bd2412 T 03:06, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

  I would add that we have no other-language terms for antibiotic-resistant, but some languages have single-word terms for multiresistance (multi-drug antibiotic resistance) - Multiresistenz in German, multitolerantsus in Estonian, and wielooporność in Polish. bd2412 T 03:13, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

Delete. The very definition (“That shows resistance to antibiotics”) exhibits with perfect clarity that this is a SOP. Colonization-resistant mice^[1] show colonization resistance, insulin-resistant diabetes^[2] shows insulin resistance, and pesticide-resistant ticks^[3] show pesticide resistance.  --Lambiam 11:05, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

Delete. Even if it is in practice used only of bacteria, it is still pretty blatant SoP. We may as well have an entry for "heat-resistant" because this normally applies only to substances and not people, or "rabbit-proof" because this normally applies to fences and not door locks or medicine bottles. A shocking discovery: earthquake-proof is missing. I guess that we “should” also have entries for experience-based,^[4][5][6] radiation-sensitive.^[7][8][9] and resource-dependent ^[10][11][12] (and belief-based, superstition-based, pressure-sensitive, temperature-independent, ...).  --Lambiam 09:24, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

It also doesn't apply to companies and philosophies that resist antibiotics, so that doesn't seem to be a very strong argument to me. If someone did write about an antibiotic-resistant pharmacy, it would mean exactly the same thing. Delete. DAVilla 02:58, 19 September 2021 (UTC)
