I don't believe the English word coma is a descendent of the Latin word. The fact that the etymology on that page shows it to come from Greek only adds weight to this. cwbr77 (talk) 13:43, 7 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I missed the second definition altogether. My mistake - I thought someone had put it on in error. I'm surprised I've never heard the other meaning of the word, though. cwbr77 (talk) 22:16, 7 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
