• Intended for verbs that have a schwa before their -ms ending (i.e., ending in -ems, -oms) with the condition that the schwa gets elided/deleted in several forms (these include pres. 1st pl., pres. 2nd pl., 2nd sg. imperative)
  • Usage: молемс (moľems){{mdf-conj-2|мо|л|емс}}, i.e., from right to left – the ending including the schwa (-ems, -oms), the stem-final consonant and as the 1st unnamed parameter – anything that precedes the stem-final consonant.
  • Short version: if you want to avoid any surprises, limit this template's usage to 2-syllable verbs that end in -lems, -noms, -moms and -voms – these three should always work, their c-shifts are built in. Other types should be served but there may be errors. Shift-resistant consonants stems could work but it is not known if there are any such consonants, it appears that practically everything shifts before a -t (including unusual shifts like m to p).
  • The forms needed to verify that the conjugation is correct (if the verb isn't one of the ones listed above) could be:
    • either present "we" or present pl. "you"
    • present "s/he" needs to be checked for hard schwa -oms verbs to verify whether there's hard or regular i (it is currently set to hard -y for sounds that Feoktistov lists as having palatalized pairs because hard schwa stems don't take hard -y in pres. 3rd sg. in all cases, cf., simi "drinks", luvi "reads" but vany "looks"
    • (maybe past "s/he" as well, although it appears that n-stems are the only that have a specific form (with a -c instead of -s))
    • this form can be hard to find, but ideally – 2nd sg. imperative, this form should be predictable but in the case of -moms verbs the elided vowel imperat. ending -t is unexpectedly soft -t' (other "hard schwa" -oms verbs have a hard -t imperat. ending) simoms "to drink" – sipt' "drink! [sg.]" (consistent with as many as 5 sources), širemoms "to bend" – širept' "bend!" (1 source, perhaps not the most reliable.)
  • Poljakov gave a fuller paradigm for molems but Golenkov gave mere 2 tenses for vanoms (+ compound future) this template is limited to the latter.
  • Not to be used with -ems verbs which don't delete the schwa, e.g., those derived with the imperf./iterat./frequentat. suffix -ne-, e.g., tonafnems. They can often be distinguished by being longer than 2 syllables. {{mdf-conj-3}} is intended for these verbs.
