Sorting

edit

I don't think this template should sort by PAGENAME, but either by language, or by header. This would group entries. Since the lang= bit already adds entries to [[:Category:<language> terms needing attention]], I'd suggest doing the second one. So all the ====Notes=== instead of ====Usage notes=== would be sorted under Notes, instead of PAGENAME. Mglovesfun (talk) 14:56, 31 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Requests for autoformat

edit

Just letting you guys know, I've added Category:Requests for autoformat so that KassadBot can clean up a few nonstandard headers I made back when I was a n00b. When Category:Rapa Nui terms needing attention and that sort of thing is cleaned out, I intend to remove it, but in case I forget, I'm making a note of it here. --Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 15:47, 15 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process (permalink).

It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.

We have taken to addressing these kinds of problems using cleanup lists, rather than by tagging the entries themselves. For the header issues, we used to have User:Erutuon/mainspace headers/possibly incorrect but that hasn't been updated since January 2022; is there a modern version? For the header level issues, various of User:JeffDoozan's lists would be applicable. This, that and the other (talk) 09:21, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

At the bottom of User:JeffDoozan/stats/sections/latest is an up-to-date list of "Nonstandard sections", which I think contains the same data as User:Erutuon/mainspace headers/possibly incorrect albeit in a different format. JeffDoozan (talk) 14:24, 24 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Delete although it would be nice to have a page in a well-known location pointing to these cleanup lists. BTW both of these appear to date back to AutoFormat, which is long gone. Benwing2 (talk) 11:53, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

RFD-deleted. @Benwing2 regarding your point, see Wiktionary:Todo#Frequently updated todo lists. I think it was actually this post by you that inspired me to create WT:Todo/Lists. This, that and the other (talk) 02:08, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Return to "rfc-header" page.
