Hello! I'm an admin here. I was born in New Delhi, South Asia with English and Hindi as my native languages. I help out with any Indian languages I can get my hands on (perhaps too many for my own good), as well as Old Iranian, Proto-Indo-Iranian, and Proto-Indo-European. I've also been learning Mandarin for five years now.

My name derives from Hindi आर्यमन (āryaman) which is ultimately from Proto-Indo-Iranian *aryamán-.

IRL I am a high school senior (12th grade/standard) in Washington, D.C. I am a research intern at Georgetown University in the linguistics and CS departments. I'm looking forward to studying computational linguistics eventually, particularly its uses in modern Indian languages and in Indo-European historical linguistics.

I'm also active on Hindi Wikipedia as a translator of English articles, and on English Wikipedia as a member of WikiProject India. I've been trying to "fix" Hindi Wiktionary for a while now as well.

TodoEdit

I want to learn some Southeast Asian languages eventually.

Figure out the deal with Hindustani and the regional Hindi dialects; perhaps something like {{zh-dial-syn}} that also automatically grabs Urdu spellings from Hindi headword line templates would be a solution.

There are more Macedonian entries than Hindi entries...
