I just received this User talk page and am eager to begin work on a word that may be accepted, not sure yet. The word is Republan. If you Google it you will see some of its uses and history. Neo or proto is the question. Funny though protologism though an active link is not even in Wiktionary! Maybe I'll work on that one too.
