Please help edit

Seems I may have unintentionally misunderstood how best to add a User page to Wiktionary - my latest effort is very basic - hopefully it's *entirely* ok - please let me know if otherwise of course - thank you in advance for your help with this - and - enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 13:44, 3 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

  • The purpose of a Wiktionary user page is to help other users assess your edits - typically by supplying information about your proficiency in languages and other specialized knowledge. You do not seem to have made any edits, so do not need one. A link to an external website is tolerated if you are a regular editor. The main purpose of a user talk page is for discussion about your edits; it is also used for communication between users about the work of the Wiki, and to ask for and receive help in contributing. Aeolis Palus edit

Hi. I changed the language header to English as it's not a translingual term. A translingual term is used as a standard form in most languages, an example of which are chemical symbols. Not in this case. Besides, you defined the term using an English category. JamesjiaoTC 20:20, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

@Jamesjiao - Thank you for your help w/ this - it's *very much* appreciated - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 20:43, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Exocomets edit

Hi. Please don't create empty capital articles that redirect to empty lower case. These are useless: the software will perform such redirects automatically. And we might need the capital articles for a real word, such as German nouns, which are often capitalised. Equinox 23:49, 10 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

@Equinox - Thank you *very much* for your comments - no problem whatsoever - yes, I noticed that the Wiktionary program "automatically" redirects (from Exocomet to exocomet and also, from Exocomets to exocomets) but *seemed* slower than by using a redirect page - not knowing any better at the time, I thought the redirect page might be ok - thanks for letting me know the better way - it's *very much* appreciated - Enjoy! :) Drbogdan (talk) 00:09, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
