These links may help you familiarize yourself with Wiktionary:

• Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
• Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
• Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
• If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
• If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.
• Whenever commenting on any discussion page, please sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) which automatically produces your username and timestamp.
• You are encouraged to add a BabelBox to your userpage to indicate your self-assessed knowledge of languages.

Trying that now, but it isn't working. I don't get the Wikipedia globe shown here http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Template:PL:pedia, and instead I get the "w:" showing up in blue text as part of the link. w:Utahraptor --Yoda of Borg (talk) 06:59, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

So someone who messages me on my talk page would also have to check "watch" in order to see that I replied and continue the conversation. :-( Not ideal. I figured out how to add the article box at the right, but it clearly wasn't appropriate on Utah. Yay, I'm "In other projects" (to the left), at least until I figure out how to archive sections - a lesson for another day.

What I meant by the "cloud" links was that on the page for {{PL:pedia}}, about 1/3 to 1/2 the way down there is a link to Wikipedia's cloud page, and it uses the Wikipedia globe instead of a "w" to indicate it. I wanted to leave a link to Utahraptor that looked like that, but since the PL:pedia page had no "Edit" link (understandably), I couldn't see how they did it (my primary source for learning how to do all things wiki). I clicked "View Source" on that page, but it didn't let me view the source for that (documentation?) page, it was probably showing me the code behind the template itself - something I haven't learned how to read yet. --Yoda of Borg (talk) 15:13, 5 August 2012 (UTC)

Well, I check my watchlist frequently, and I have more than 900 pages watchlisted :) You can, however, check a box at WT:PREFS that emails you every time a page on your watchlist is modified. Ah, well, template code is probably not important to you yet. You can always click on 'What links here' under the Toolbox in the left hand side to see pages where a template is actually used, to give you an idea of what it looks like in action. --Μετάknowledge^{discuss/deeds} 15:21, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
