From Korean 용대갑(龍台岬) (Yongdaegap), from the Revised Romanization of Korean 용대 (yongdae) and 갑 (gap), from Sino-Korean 龍台岬, from 龍 (“Chinese dragon”), 台 (“platform or terrace”), and 岬 (“cape, headland”).
