From en- +‎ shittify. Coined by Canadian-British-American blogger, journalist, and science fiction author Cory Doctorow in 2022 along with enshittification.

enshittify (third-person singular simple present enshittifies, present participle enshittifying, simple past and past participle enshittified)

(technology, neologism) To make an online platform worse by enshittification ("the phenomenon of online platforms gradually degrading the quality of their services, often by promoting advertisements and sponsored content, in order to increase profits").
