Likely borrowed from Hokkien [Term?], possibly Hokkien 鹿肉脯 (lo̍k-bah-pó͘, “dried deer meat; dried venison”), 鹿肉 (lo̍k-bah, “deer meat; venison”), or 滷肉/卤肉 (ló͘-bah, “braised meat”).
