From Dutch pyjama, from Hindi पैजामा (paijāmā), Urdu پاجامہ (pājāma), from Persian پایجامه / پاجامه (pâyjâma / pâjâma, “leg garment”), akin to پا (“leg”) + جامه (“garment”).
