Loss of /b/ in Standard Albanian shqim and Gheg Albanian shkym.

From Old Albanian shqymb, from Proto-Albanian *skūmba. Cognate to Gothic *𐍃𐌺𐌹𐌿𐌱𐌰𐌽 (*skiuban, cast, shove) and 𐌰𐍆𐍃𐌺𐌹𐌿𐌱𐌰𐌽 (afskiuban, cast away, shove off), Lithuanian skumbù and skùbti (to hurry up) and Proto-Slavic *skuti.[1]
