(history) a strategy that was performed by Trần Hưng Đạo, with which he lured the enemy (the Yuan army) into an empty residential area where there were no residents and no food supply, weakening them, minimizing damage to the Trần army, in order to strike back a while later. Literally meaning "empty gardens, empty houses".
