Etymology edit

Inherited from Old Ruthenian млѣ́ти (mlě́ti), from Proto-Slavic *mъd(ь)lěti. By surface analysis, млий (mlyj) (obsolete) +‎ і́ти (íty). Cognate with Belarusian млець (mljecʹ), Polish mdleć.
