Biblical reference to a major elevated land figure in Jerusalem. Multiple theories exist as to the etymological origin of the term, theorized roots include ציה, צון, צוה, and צהה. Attested to in Aramaic צהיון and Classical Syriac ܨܸܗܝܘܿܢ (ṣehyōn) — sometimes considered the older form by historians. More at Zion.
