Cognate with Sylheti ꠙꠤꠑ (fiṭó), Rohingya fith, Assamese পিঠি (pithi), Hindustani پیٹھ / पीठ (pīṭh), Punjabi ਪਿੱਠ (piṭṭha), Sinhalese පිට (piṭa).
