Cognate with Northern Thai ᨩᩨ᩵, Isan ซื่อ, Lao ຊື່ (sư̄), ᦋᦹᧈ (tsue¹), Shan ၸိုဝ်ႈ (tsūe), Ahom 𑜋𑜢𑜤𑜈𑜫 (chüw) or 𑜋𑜥 (chū), Zhuang coh.
