Etymology edit

Possibly borrowed via a Turkic language, compare Turkish terzi. From Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (dlcyk' /⁠darzīg⁠/, tailor) and ultimately from Proto-Iranian *darz- (to attach, fasten; to load; to sew).
