  1. A brownish-black pill used in traditional Chinese medicine "to promote blood flow, to remove blood stasis, to dispel cold and relieve pain in the treatment of menstrual disorders caused by blood stasis together with cold, accompanied by distension and pain in the lower abdomen, lumbago and leukorrhea".
