Named by Commandante Manuel Scheidnagel in April 21, 1874 due to the three adjacent hills surrounding the place, hence a trinidad (trinity). Popular belief is that it is named after Commandante Don Guillermo de Galvey's supposed wife "Doña Trinidad de Galvey", though this is false.[1][2]
