Etymology edit
From Italian magazzino (“warehouse”), from Arabic مَخْزَن (maḵzan, “warehouse”) and its plural مَخازِن (maḵāzin). The military senses are from French magasin, the sense “periodical” from English magazine, both from the same Italian and Arabic sources.
