    1. (archaic) A taxonomic genus within the kingdom Fungi – about 100 species anamorphic fungi thought to be in the order Cantharellales, now considered developmental stages of fungi from species in phyla Ascomycota and Basidiomycota.
    2. A taxonomic genus within the family Ceratobasidiaceae – Rhizoctonia solani, the sole remaining accepted species.
