I consider the so called Macedonian language to be only a mere dialect of Bulgarian and it does not deserve to have place in Wikipedia. Furthermore, Wikipedia is supposed to bring knowledge to the people. The truth about Macedonian language is that it was created in 1946 by the Yugoslav communists to help them spread their inhumane campaign. If you are interested in the topic, do some research yourself, but for me the presence of Macedonian language is just hilarious and displeasing.

It wasn’t created in 1946, it was standardized and implemented in 1945. It already existed, and had existed for many centuries but had long been treated as a dialect of Bulgarian or Serbian, even though it was as old as Bulgarian or Serbian. It is a common phenomenon for people who speak a certain language to consider nearby closely related languages to be merely improperly spoken forms of their own language. For example, the Spaniards think Portuguese is just Spanish badly spoken, and the Portuguese think Spanish is badly spoken Portuguese. A language that shows distinct Macedonian features, that are found neither in Serbian nor in Bulgarian, has existed since the times of Old Church Slavonic 1000 years ago. In particular the pronunciation of the Ѓ and Ќ is a very distinct and archaic feature that dates back to the earliest Slavic times. —CodeCat 17:16, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

Languages close to each other affect each other more than unrelated languages, no doubt and Macedonian has become much closer to Serbo-Croatian than Bulgarian, especially in the modern vocabulary but many words, even if they were borrowed from Serbo-Croatian are changed the Macedonian way, like фала (thank you) хвала (sh), благодаря (bg). "Bread" in Macedonian is just леб, хляб (bg), it's хлеб / хљеб or крух in sh. Apart from Ѓ and Ќ Macedonian has letter Ѕ (dz), which makes the sound of Macedonian more different from both Bulgarian and Serbo-Croatian. Bulgarian, in turn, preserved more very old roots and vocabulary, borrowed heavily from Russian (the reverse is also true). In any case, old Bulgarian and Russian literary traditions have a lot more in common. Macedonian has more or less predictable stress patterns, Bulgarian stress is unpredictable and dialects have different stresses. Middle vowels are often different in bg and mk. Despite being very comprehensible in a basic conversation, the differences in spelling and grammar are too large to even theoretically merge Bulgarian and Macedonian like Serbo-Croatian varieties. --Anatoli ^{(обсудить}/^вклад) 22:52, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
