The following information has failed Wiktionary's deletion process (permalink).
It should not be re-entered without careful consideration.
Spanish keyboards come with ñ as a separate letter from n; when such a keyboard is not available, speakers will usually substitute n for ñ (though I've seen some Spanish speakers use n~ instead). So this isn't a misspelling that would occur in any Spanish text unless said text was composed on a non-Spanish keyboard, in which case it wouldn't be a misspelling in the usual sense, but an intentional misencoding. Either way, our search bar will redirect to español anyway, and I don't think we should have entries like this. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 03:22, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

- Delete per the reasons above, to which I add that it fails to meet the criterion in Help:Misspellings stating that “we only accept common misspellings”, and given that users without a Spanish-language keyboard layout are extremely rare… In those cases, we would compromise as “espaniol”, but not “espanol”. ―Born2bgratis (talk) 14:46, 27 April 2017 (UTC)
