- Perhaps it can stand as a phrasebook phrase, in which case it should be marked as such. The French expression is obviously an idiom; its literal translation “that does nothing” (—“I'm sorry I interrupted you, Alice.” –”Oh, that does nothing, Bob.”) does not convey the sense. The literal translation of the Italian phrase, ”it is not important” means the same as the original. --Lambiam 14:02, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
